| Usage: | Blood Lead is useful in detecting industrial, dietary and accidental exposure to lead and to monitor detoxification therapy. It is recommended to test children regularly for blood lead levels. A value of 5 mcg/dL is considered unsafe for children and a follow up test is advised. Toxicity is suspected when the value exceeds 45 mcg/dL. Symptoms of toxicity include behaviour changes, irritability, weight loss, abdominal pain, vomiting & seizures. |
