A random blood sugar (RBS) test measures the amount of glucose in your blood at any time of day. A normal RBS level depends on when you last ate, but is usually 125 mg/dL (6.9 mmol/L) or lower. A level of 200 mg/dL (11 mmol/L) or higher may indicate diabetes.

Prediabetes: A level between 140 and 199 mg/dL (7.8 and 11 mmol/L) is considered prediabetes
